Three crime incidents were reported this week in Genesee County, New York. One man was charged with robbing an elderly person at Batavia Downs Gaming, another man was accused of strangling a woman and fighting police, and a 53-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct at a hotel in Batavia.
Robbery at Batavia Downs Gaming

On Thursday afternoon, Joseph Johnson, a Monroe County resident, was charged with robbery and harassment after violently grabbing items from an elderly person at Batavia Downs Gaming.
Strangulation and Police Altercation

Earlier this month, Joel Prouty, a Batavia man, was accused of strangling a woman and then fighting with police during his arrest. Prouty fled the scene by jumping out of a second-story window. The next day, police were called to the same location for another disturbance involving Prouty and the victim.
Disorderly Conduct at a Hotel

Mark Frongetta, 53, of Batavia, was detained for disorderly behavior after creating public annoyance and inconvenience at a hotel. He allegedly yelled obscenities in the hotel lobby and threw the phone away. Frongetta was arrested for CAP Court and will appear before a judge in Town of Batavia Court on Tuesday.
