At least 93 people have died in the deadliest wildfire in U.S. history. It happened on the island of Maui, which is a popular tourist spot.
Maui County officials warn that this figure is likely to rise as many residents remain missing.
Thousands are dealing with the aftermath, with an estimated 2,200 structures demolished or severely damaged, according to estimates. The great majority of these – approximately 86% – were dwellings.
