In an accident in the Town of Pembroke, one person was killed and two others were seriously injured

A fatal accident that left two people severely injured and one person dead was reported by the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office in the Town of Pembroke.

The accident happened on Route 5 in Pembroke at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Nikki Stonebreaker, a 34-year-old resident of Batavia, was driving east on Route 5 when she crossed over the yellow line and collided with a vehicle that was traveling west on Route 5.

Tragically, Stonebreaker was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Genesee County Coroner. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were rushed to ECMC with severe injuries.

The Sheriff’s office has said that the crash is still under investigation.
