Electronic tracking device was found by a woman while driving along interstate

While driving along I-55, a woman from the Mississippi Gulf Coast found herself in a harrowing situation. However, thanks to the quick thinking and watchful eye of a deputy, she was able to escape unharmed.

As per the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, an individual pulled over in a county of north Mississippi near I-55, as they stumbled upon a tracking device.

According to a statement from the department, as soon as the subject arrived at the office, it was apparent that she was distressed. Deputy Ware engaged in a conversation with her to better understand the situation. The subject expressed her concern about being tracked and mentioned that she suspected an Apple Air Tag was placed on her car. Although her daughter and a friend were able to detect it, they were unable to locate it.

As per the department’s report, the woman had a suspicion that her neighbor near her newly purchased home might have been tracking her. A deputy was assigned to investigate the matter and during the search, an Air Tag was found in a key box situated in the rear bumper of her car.

According to the statement, the device was deactivated, and the authorities in the area where the incident was believed to have occurred were informed. The woman was traveling on I-55 and was so worried about the situation that she went to the nearest law enforcement office, which happened to be the Montgomery County S.O.

The individual’s actions were highly commendable, according to the department. They also emphasized the importance of always being cautious in similar situations.
