A traffic stop involving two stolen Alabama vehicles resulted in several arrests

A Mississippi Highway Patrol trooper stopped several people in Clinton on Wednesday. Those people were then taken into arrest.

An MHP found a 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat driving west on Interstate 20 in Rankin County, according to police. It is said that the car was stolen in Alabama. Officers said that along with the Challenger, they also found a Chevrolet Silverado that they think was used in the theft.

Troopers stopped both cars for driving too fast near Clinton. The people in the Silverado were arrested without any trouble.

The Challenger, on the other hand, ran away from the traffic stop and led the cops on a chase for about 20 miles until it crashed into two 18-wheelers in the westbound lane in Warren County.

MHP says that none of the people in the 18-wheelers were hurt.

The Challenger’s driver was taken into arrest without any trouble.

All accused were taken to the Clinton Police Department for further investigation.
