A man was shot in the head in Foley, and the suspect was apprehended

FOLEY, Ala. – According to a police news release, a Foley man injured in the head early Sunday morning informed officers he knew the man who shot him. That suspect was later apprehended by Foley Police.

Kevin James Magnant, 36, of Foley, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. At Magnant’s home, police discovered a 22-caliber rifle and a pipe laced with narcotic residue.

According to Foley Police, the incident occurred around 4 a.m. Sunday on the 22000 block of Atterbrock Lane. The shooting victim was transferred to a Pensacola hospital for treatment.
