After Deadly Landlord-Tenant Dispute, Homestead Tenant Charged with Murder

A landlord-tenant dispute in Homestead escalated to a fatality when the tenant murdered the landlord. Eduardo Darinel Galvez, the tenant, is charged with second-degree homicide and nonviolent resistance to an officer.

In response to Galvez’s disobedience, the proprietor visited his apartment to conduct a welfare check. Neighbors were informed of the verbal and physical altercation that ensued between Galvez and the proprietor, prompting them to contact law enforcement.

Despite barricading himself in the apartment with tasers on multiple occasions, Galvez was ultimately apprehended. Subsequently, the proprietor succumbed to his injuries.
