On November 6, a man was discovered deceased in Inglewood, and authorities have now identified him.
According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office, the deceased has been identified as Autrell Briggs, a 33-year-old resident of Los Angeles. He was discovered in the 100 east block of Buckthorn Street as reported by their office. The reason behind his demise is yet to be determined.
According to previous report, residents have speculated that the individual was killed by a gunshot, but this information has not yet been confirmed by the coroner’s office. Earlier this morning, a person was found dead in the middle of Buckthorn and LaBrea street. Despite my efforts to gather more information, I couldn’t find any updates on this incident. However, I thought it would be helpful to share what I know. According to my neighbor, the incident took place around 2 a.m. as he heard gunshots and sirens in the area.
The Medical Examiner’s office has officially recorded that Mr. Briggs passed away in a private residence. The department spokesperson was asked to explain the difference between what neighbors reported hearing versus what was listed on their office’s website. In response, the spokesperson stated that this information is included in the report, which is currently unfinished.
Mr. Briggs was discovered in close proximity to the Church of God Pentecostal Church and a sober living home, as reported by Google Maps. Bishop Johnny Young, a former member of the Inglewood Unified School Board, oversees the church.
