A gunshot wound survivor is currently under investigation for his involvement in a shooting that took place in St. Roch on Monday morning.
New Orleans Police Department investigators have stated that Cliff Ruffin was shot during a domestic simple battery. Initially, investigators were told that Ruffin was the victim in the case. However, they later discovered that he had attacked someone else and was shot in self-defense.
As of Monday night, Ruffin, who is 22 years old, is still being treated at the hospital. After his release from the hospital, authorities plan to book him into the Orleans Parish Prison where he will face charges of stalking, simple robbery, domestic abuse, and other related offenses.
