NYPD seeks woman who hit pro-Palestinian protester, investigating as potential hate crime

The search is on for a woman who reportedly made an “anti-ethnic statement” and physically assaulted a man by slapping him on the face during the pro-Palestinian rally on the Brooklyn Bridge last Saturday, according to the NYPD.

It seems that a video has been posted on X, previously known as Twitter, which depicts a woman forcefully pushing and shouting at a group of individuals during a protest.

According to the police, the man who was 31 years old was slapped by the woman. He refused medical assistance at the scene. The incident is currently under investigation by the NYPD Hate Crime Task Force.

On Saturday, a massive crowd of people gathered in Brooklyn and Manhattan to protest against the continuous bombardment of Gaza strip. The demonstration was so impactful that it led to the temporary shut down of the Brooklyn Bridge. The protestors were calling for an immediate ceasefire to avoid any further loss of life and property.

During the protest, the police arrested a 26-year-old man for putting up graffiti. He was charged for his actions.
