Farmingdale High School student spreads sweet joy to those affected by tragic bus crash

On Sunday, a student from Farmingdale attempted to bring some sweet joy to those affected by the tragic bus crash incident in Orange County.

As the tragedy unfolded on Thursday afternoon, Angelica Cottone, a ninth grader at Farmingdale High School, was on a different bus, bearing witness to the devastating crash.

Angelica remembered how everyone had to watch it, and how it was a truly upsetting experience.

After the accident, she received a visit that inspired her to spread joy. It was this visit that sparked the idea within her.

She expressed her delight as she recounted how her elementary school teachers paid her a visit at home to lift her spirits.

In response to the accident, Angelica took it upon herself to create chocolate treats for those affected. It was a gesture that was completely new to her.

Angelica went out of her way to purchase all the necessary supplies with her own money. Although it took her a few hours to create the items, she was determined to find a way to bring joy to the kids impacted by the accident. Her gesture was not only heartfelt but also intended to represent the Farmingdale community.

As soon as she finished baking her delicious treats, she wasted no time and headed straight to the bus loaded with students. She generously distributed her homemade goodies to the students, totaling around 200 treats. Her kind gesture and warm smile left an unforgettable impression on the kids.

According to her, creating chocolate-covered pretzels and paw-shaped chocolates has been a great way to take her mind off things. She even went the extra mile to distribute these treats to her colleagues, providing a much-needed distraction for everyone involved.
