Certain Publix stores in Alabama take down Boar’s Head meats from their deli sections.

In Alabama, certain Publix stores have taken Boar’s Head meats off their deli counters due to a listeria outbreak that resulted in a recall.

According to recent reports, the outbreak linked to Boar’s Head liverwurst and deli meats has resulted in two fatalities, leading to a recall of the products last week.

The recall of liverwurst and other meats produced on the same line and day was announced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Boar’s Head meats have been temporarily removed from the deli counter at the Publix in Rainbow City. A worker confirmed this information and stated that it is only a temporary measure. Reports on social media have also indicated that similar actions were taken at Publix locations in Clay and Montclair Place in Birmingham.
