A man from Montgomery has been arrested, and federal authorities are investigating hate crime charges

Stephen Hickey, 34, was detained by Montgomery police on felony charges of first-degree criminal mischief.

This arrest follows several reports of vandalism in the Dannelly Pines area.

The vandalism included hate symbols, racial slurs, and a swastika, raising concerns about racial tensions.

Hickey, who is accused of writing the inflammatory graffiti, was identified and apprehended by police in collaboration with a number of other teams.

These activities have caused considerable distress among the locals.

The destruction of community property has sparked a hate crime inquiry, which will be handled by federal authorities.
