Mocobizscene- Negron began his career in law enforcement in July 1998 when he joined the East Newark Police Department. In 2005, he made the transition to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, where he served as a detective and eventually rose to the rank of sergeant.
In 2022, Negron made the decision to retire following his battle with COVID-19, which ultimately led to him undergoing a double-lung transplant. Negron’s experience also extends to his time serving in the East Newark Fire Department.
Negron and his wife Maria brought up their three sons, Devin, Chase, and Mason, in Kearny, according to his obituary. According to his obituary, Negron was a devoted New York Jets fan who enjoyed spending quality time with his family and enthusiastically supporting his sons during their games.
According to his obituary, Negron is survived by his mother, Margarita, and his brothers, Elliot and John. During his visitation on Wednesday, Feb. 14, guests paid tribute to his love for the Jets by wearing green.
