Mocobizscene- The Newark Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating Eugene Williams, a 73-year-old Newark resident who has been reported missing since Wednesday.
On February 13, 2024, Mr. Williams was spotted leaving a residential facility on Ballantine Parkway. Witnesses observed him taking his personal belongings, which he packed into two large bags, before leaving in his dark blue Saturn.
Mr. Williams, who has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and depression, is a regular attendee at an adult daycare center located on Mt. Pleasant Avenue. However, he has been missing since February 13 and has not been seen or heard from since. He is described as 5’7″ tall, weighing 140 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a black jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans. There is a concern that he may be heading towards Trenton, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania.
The Newark Police Department is appealing to anyone who has information about Mr. Williams’s whereabouts to step forward and help ensure his safe return. His family and the community are extremely worried about his well-being, particularly given his medical conditions.
