A man from Batavia was arrested for identity theft and petit larceny

Zachary T. Draper, a 25-year-old resident of Batavia, NY, was apprehended by the troopers from SP Warsaw on August 4, 2023.

The arrest was made on the charges of petit larceny and identity theft following a response to a domestic disturbance on East Bethany Rd., Middlebury.

A thorough investigation revealed that Draper had unlawfully accessed a bank account that did not belong to him. He had carried out unauthorized transactions from this account.

Draper’s personal cell phone was found to contain evidence of these transactions, indicating his participation in the criminal activity. After his arrest, Draper was taken to SP Warsaw for processing and subsequently released.

However, he was given a ticket that required his appearance in court. He is expected to appear in Middlebury court on October 16, 2023, to face further legal proceedings.
