Mocobizscene- A hit-and-run incident in Brooklyn on Saturday left a man in critical condition. Around 2:30 p.m., a lot of commotion broke out at a restaurant on the corner of Sixth Avenue and Union Street when a car struck a man, according to the staff.
An 83-year-old man was hit by a driver who was heading westbound on Union Street while crossing the street in a designated crosswalk. Shockingly, the driver did not stop after the accident occurred. Police are currently conducting an investigation into the incident. Based on initial findings, it is believed that the vehicle involved in the incident might be a black Toyota Camry.
Another employee recounted the incident, stating, “The driver simply continued driving, showing no concern for what had just happened. I witnessed a man lying on the street, in need of urgent assistance. Thankfully, bystanders rushed to his aid, immediately calling for an ambulance and alerting the police.”
The victim was quickly taken to Methodist Hospital by first responders in critical condition. As of Saturday night, the police reported that he was conscious and alert.
