New footage of a confrontation on the Montgomery Riverfront has emerged, with two suspects still on the lam

Montgomery, Alabama police have reported that two of the three men charged with assault in connection to a brawl on a riverfront dock have not turned themselves in.

Chief Darryl Albert stated during a press conference that Zachery Shipman, 25, Richard Roberts, 48, and Allen Todd, 23, were charged with assault.

The fight escalated after a verbal altercation over the apparent docking of a pontoon boat along the river.

One of the men was in police custody, while the other two were expected to surrender themselves by Tuesday afternoon. However, a police spokesperson confirmed that the remaining two have not yet turned themselves in as of Wednesday afternoon.

The fight began when a crew member of a city-owned boat attempted to move a pontoon boat blocking it from docking at Riverfront Park at around 7 p.m. on August 5, according to authorities.

Social media videos show a man shoving a crew member, leading to several others joining in the brawl and attacking the employee.

The FBI has joined the investigation into the incident, and police are seeking an interview with Reggie Gray, 42, who was seen on social media video using a folding chair during the incident.

Chief Albert expressed concern that such activities could tarnish the city’s image, saying, “The people of Montgomery, we’re better than that. We’re a fun city, and we don’t want this type of activity to shed a dark eye on what this city’s all about.” According to Albert, around 200 people were on the riverboat, and more charges are expected to be filed.
