Mocobizscene- The FBI office in Newark is currently seeking over two dozen fugitives with connections to New Jersey. They have committed a range of crimes, including kidnapping, cyber-crime, espionage, and terrorism.
Here are the six violent fugitives who are currently at the top of the most-wanted list. If you come across any of them, the FBI advises you to immediately dial 911 and refrain from approaching them.
All except one of them are currently being sought for the crime of murder. Law enforcement officials have labeled all individuals as armed and dangerous, emphasizing the potential threat they pose.
Andre J. Fleurentin: Murder
Andre J. Fleurentin is wanted by the FBI for his alleged role in the murder of a man on October 1, 1992, in Union County, New Jersey.
Fleurentin is being sought after for charges of murder.
Diego Alfonso De Leon Mejia: Murder
Diego Alfonso De Leon Mejia is wanted by the FBI for his alleged role in a fatal shooting that took place at a gas station in Paterson, New Jersey, on May 16, 2019.
On March 18, 2021, the United States District Court, District of New Jersey, issued a federal arrest warrant for De Leon Mejia. He was charged federally with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution on murder charges.
Dennis M. Cunningham: Murder
Dennis M. Cunningham, a convicted felon, is being sought for his alleged participation in the fatal shooting of a man in Irvington, New Jersey, on May 12, 2017.
On September 8, 2017, Cunningham faced a federal arrest warrant when he was charged with unlawful flight to evade prosecution for murder.
Cunningham has connections to Irvington and Newark, New Jersey, as well as Easton, Pennsylvania.
Kofi Edwards: Armed Robbery
The FBI is currently seeking Kofi Edwards for his suspected role in the armed robbery of a restaurant in Woodbridge, New Jersey.
On March 17, 2009, Edwards and his accomplices reportedly stormed into the establishment, brandishing their firearms and proceeded to forcibly restrain three individuals while they carried out a daring robbery, making off with a substantial amount of money.
On August 6, 2012, authorities issued a federal arrest warrant for Edwards. He faced charges of Armed Robbery and Use of a Firearm.
If you have any information that can directly lead to the arrest of Kofi Edwards, the FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000.
Wilfredo Rodriguez: Murder
Rodriguez faced legal consequences for the crime and was arrested. After a trial, he was convicted of murder and received a life sentence in prison.
After his conviction, Rodriguez was released on bail while waiting for the outcome of his appeal. Unfortunately, when his appeal was ultimately denied, Rodriguez chose not to surrender himself for confinement.
Rodriguez has a reputation for having a violent temper and has been previously found in possession of a knife.
Francisco Martinez: Murder
The FBI is currently searching for Francisco Martinez, who is wanted for the alleged murder of his employer in Passaic on September 14, 2001.
According to reports, the victim had confronted Martinez that day, accusing him of being involved in a fire that occurred at the business in August 2001 and ongoing theft of textile materials. The two men had been arguing about these incidents.
Martinez is facing a federal arrest warrant for unlawfully fleeing to evade prosecution on charges of murder and other offenses. The FBI is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who can provide information that directly leads to the arrest of Francisco Martinez.
Martinez, who often dons baseball caps, is experiencing hair loss. He holds permanent resident status in the United States and has connections to Ecuador, as well as various states including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida. He is likely traveling across South America.
