Young student in Silver Spring passes away due to COVID

Mocobizscene- A tragic incident has occurred in Silver Spring, Maryland, where a kindergartner has lost their life after contracting COVID, as confirmed by the child’s school in a heartfelt letter.

According to the letter, the little girl was a Cannon Road Elementary School student enrolled in the Autism Services program.

School officials announced the unfortunate passing of the individual on Sunday, January 21. She had been admitted to the hospital last week and was readmitted before eventually succumbing to the illness.

“This tragic loss deeply saddens us. Our hearts go out to [her] family and our staff during this challenging time,” expressed Principal Kristine Donohue.

The school is collaborating with the district to ensure that resources are provided for both the staff and the family of the child.
