Nearly 14,000 fentanyl pills seized in major drug bust in Prince George’s County
Nine suspects have been arrested and charged by the police in connection with the seizure of almost 14,000 fentanyl pills and multiple firearms from an apartment in Prince George’s County.
On January 28, 2022, Marbley made the sale of fentanyl and cocaine to a 69-year-old and 72-year-old individuals, resulting in their subsequent deaths. In May 2023, Marbley confessed that he had distributed fentanyl and cocaine while sitting in the driver’s seat of a Mazda sedan in Southwest.
On January 28, there were at least 13 opioid overdoses, both fatal and non-fatal, in that particular area. EMS and MPD officers promptly responded to these incidents.
According to a statement from U.S. Attorney Graves, Marbley was fully aware of the consequences of his actions when he persisted in selling fentanyl to others, despite being responsible for causing fatal or near-fatal overdoses in more than a dozen individuals. It was not until his arrest on March 23, 2022, that he finally ceased his illicit drug trade.
“Marbley was fully aware of the harm caused by the drugs he sold to others,” Graves stated. “By imposing a 20-year sentence, we are not only sending a strong message to other drug dealers, but also effectively ending this trafficker’s criminal career.”
