MOBILE, Ala. —Frank Williams, 97, was discovered deceased around 7:30 Thursday morning beneath the 1-65 overpass near Highway 43, according to Creola Police Chief Shange Stringer. According to Stringer, it seems that Williams abandoned his car and proceeded to walk approximately 30 yards before tumbling down a steep embankment.
Foul play is not suspected, according to Stinger. The New Orleans Police Department contacted Creola at night to inform them that Williams’ cell phone was sending signals in their area.
After midnight, his car was discovered abandoned on 1-65 in Creola. The state issued a missing and endangered alert on Thursday morning, stating that Williams might have had a condition affecting his judgment.
He was spotted in New Orleans on December 31, 2023. The New Orleans Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding Frank Williams.
