Mocobizscene-A driver attempting to flee from the police collided with and caused injuries to nine individuals on a sidewalk in Midtown Manhattan during the night.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, around 2 a.m., on West 34th Street, which is conveniently located just one block away from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden.
According to detectives, when officers attempted to arrest a 44-year-old man who was involved in an unspecified crime at the intersection of 33rd Street and Seventh Avenue, the suspect tried to flee by driving away.
All the individuals who were hit by the vehicle were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to the police.
One officer required hospitalization, although it is uncertain if they were also hit by the car.
A food truck hit a woman, and fortunately, she is now in a stable condition. The driver, who was in stable condition, was arrested and subsequently transported to the hospital.
