Santa Ana Cops Seeking Machete-Wielding Robbers

 

Mocobizscene-Santa Ana police are currently conducting an investigation into two armed robberies that occurred in the city. The incidents involved three individuals, one of whom was potentially armed with a machete.

Around 7 p.m. on Wednesday night, a incident occurred near a bike path on the 3000 block of W. Edinger Avenue.

According to a spokesperson from the Santa Ana Police Department, three men approached the victim while they were riding an electric skateboard. One of the suspects was armed with a gun, while another had a knife resembling a machete, as reported by KTLA.

The thieves took off with the victim’s cell phone and a GoPro camera after the incident.

In the early hours of the morning, a second individual became a target of an armed robbery carried out by a group of three individuals, one of whom was brandishing a machete. This incident occurred at approximately 2 a.m. in the vicinity of the 500 block of S. Bristol Street.

Police are currently working to gather more information and confirm whether or not the same suspects committed the crimes. As of now, there is limited additional information available regarding this matter.
