Mocobizscene-On Wednesday night, DC Fire and EMS swiftly responded to an apartment fire in Southeast, D.C.
The fire started in the kitchen of a second-floor apartment located in the 2800 block of 28th St., S.E. At around 8 p.m., the department announced on its official page that they had successfully brought the fire under control and no injuries were reported by anyone involved.
A total of nine residents were forced to evacuate their homes due to the fire incident. The local authorities promptly reached out to the Red Cross of the National Capital and Greater Chesapeake Region for assistance in providing support to those affected.
