California Doctor Convicted of Brutal Wife Murder in Staged Accident

Mocobizscene-  A California fertility doctor was found guilty of second-degree murder on Tuesday for strangling to death his wife, whose body was found in November 2016 after a fake accident.

The Orange County District Attorney’s Office said that 58-year-old E. Scott Sills was found guilty of one count of second-degree murder for the death of his 45-year-old wife Susann, who was found at the bottom of the stairs at their home in San Clemente.

On November 13, 2016, Sills called 911 and said he woke up to find his wife’s dead body after she fell down the stairs. Police were called to the family home.

The district attorney’s office says that blood was found on the wall and curtains in their daughter’s bedroom, where Susann was sleeping because she had a migraine. This showed that Susann died from being strangled.

A clump of Susann’s hair was also found in the room, which showed that the pair had fought violently.

In a news release, Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer said, “Dr. Sills swore to care for the sick and injured, and his job as a fertility doctor brought so much joy to his patients. But the woman he vowed to love in sickness and health was strangled to death by his own hands.” “Just think about how evil you must be to kill your wife and make it look like she fell down the stairs.”

He said, “It took calculated planning to commit this crime, and worse of all he ruthlessly and selfishly murdered the mother of their children who now are left without their parents.”
