A tragic incident occurred in Sherman Oaks where a man lost his life after being hit by a vehicle while he was in the lanes of a transition road connecting the San Diego (405) Freeway to the Ventura (101). Authorities confirmed this devastating incident on Sunday.
According to Officer Michael Nasir of the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at 3:57 a.m. on the transition from the northbound 405 to the westbound 101.
According to Nasir, the man was declared dead at the scene. There was no evidence suggesting that the vehicle had fled. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) issued a SigAlert at 4:19 a.m., effectively closing down the transition road to conduct an investigation.
