A mother is coming forward to share her account of how her 11-year-old son was compelled to engage in fights with other teenagers while held at gunpoint after school.
An Alief mother has come forward with a disturbing incident involving her 11-year-old son. According to her, he was allegedly threatened with a gun and coerced into fighting other teenagers. This incident took place at an apartment complex near Shadowbriar Drive and Richmond Avenue, shortly after school. The mother is now resolved to ensure justice is served for her son.
“The gun was held to my son’s head even before the video started, they could have killed him,” recounted Lucille Longoria, the mother of the 11-year-old Alief ISD student.
On Tuesday, a group of teenagers approached Lucille Longoria’s 11-year-old son as he was walking home from Budewig Intermediate School. Longoria exclaimed, “You witness his gun. He experienced a brutal, violent attack firsthand.”
“My son busted his nose after receiving a severe jab,” said Longoria. “They stomped on him.”
Alief ISD stated:”Alief ISD was made aware of a video circulating of a group of young people fighting last Friday. The parent of one of the students involved contacted a campus administrator to inform them of the video’s existence. This incident did not transpire on school grounds. We worked with local authorities to identify the students in the video and were able to confirm that there were some that were current students in our district. We do not condone bullying of any kind, and we encourage our students to make better choices.”
Due to the incident, Longoria stated that she is attempting to transfer her son from Alief ISD to a different school district.
