MONTGOMERY, Ala. – An investigation into a traffic stop in Montgomery, Alabama, led to the arrest of a man after 6.2 grams of fentanyl were found.
On July 21, at around 7:20 p.m., Javosick Janard Allen, 38, of Montgomery, was discovered to be in possession of a white rock-like material that field testing revealed to be positive for fentanyl. This information is according to the court records.
According to the documents filed with the court, a traffic stop was performed on the car in which Allen was a passenger for failing to signal. During the course of the traffic stop, the officer saw Allen remove the fentanyl from his pocket and place it in the backseat, where two young children were sitting, in an effort to hide the drugs.
Fentanyl possession with intent to distribute and trafficking are the charges that have been brought against Allen. He has a bond set at $280,000 and is now being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center.
