Search for suspects underway in Washington Heights, Manhattan in connection to fatal stabbing of a 20-year-old by the NYPD

Last week, a 20-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Manhattan and the NYPD has released a surveillance video of the two individuals who are wanted in connection with the incident.

At around 3 a.m. on July 2, authorities were called to the location near Saint Nicholas Avenue and West 185th Street. Police immediately responded to the scene.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Mateo Solis, a 20-year-old resident of Manhattan, who had sustained a stab wound to his back. The first responders immediately rushed him to Harlem Hospital Center, but despite their best efforts, the medical staff was unable to save his life and pronounced him dead.

The NYPD has reported that the suspects have a light complexion, medium build, and are both approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall.

According to the authorities, the first suspect was spotted in a black t-shirt and black sweatpants, while the second suspect was seen wearing a black baseball cap, gray t-shirt, and gray pants.

The reason behind the stabbing is still being investigated by authorities.
