Young Woman Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Maine at Age 21

A young woman, aged 21, was apprehended on Tuesday on charges of felony drug trafficking. The arrest came after an extensive two-month investigation conducted in Bangor.

Jade Willette faces three counts of Aggravated Drug Trafficking, according to the MDEA’s North Central Task Force. The charges were elevated because the residence is located within 1000 ft of the Vine Street School.

MDEA Made Controlled Purchases

Agents actively conducted an investigation and successfully made controlled purchases of fentanyl and crack at a residence located at 166 Larkin Street in Bangor.

Drugs, Firearms and Money Seized

Law enforcement officials conducted a search warrant at the residence and confiscated around 40 grams of crack, nearly 40 grams of suspected fentanyl, three firearms, and over $1,300 in suspected drug proceeds. The drugs seized have an estimated street value of $10,000.

More Arrests Expected

According to the MDEA, Willette has been detained and is currently being held at the Penobscot County Jail. The authorities anticipate additional arrests in connection with the case.

Ongoing Investigation

The Bangor Police Department’s Special Response Team provided assistance to the MDEA during the investigation and execution of the warrant.
