A Woman Was Fatally Struck With A Sledgehammer, Died On Christmas Eve

Mocobizscene-On Christmas Eve in Torrance, California, a lady was attacked at a college with a sledgehammer, resulting in her death.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that the attack occurred on Sunday morning shortly after seven in the morning near the 16000 block of Crenshaw Boulevard. According to investigators, the girl was attacked at El Camino College in Torrance while she was gathering recyclables, as the TV station stated.

Before police could arrive, a man brandishing a sledgehammer struck the woman.

Someone walking past the gymnasium noticed the victim there. According to the news agency, she seemed to be bleeding from her head when officers discovered her unconscious. Her dog did not leave her side.After being brought to the hospital, the victim passed away from her wounds one day later on Christmas.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the victim was solely named by the sheriff’s department as an Asian woman in her 60s or 65s. According to report, investigators used security footage to identify the culprit as Jeffrey Davis, 40.

Sgt. Francisco Esqueda of El Camino College Police told the news source, “We believe the person on the security footage is a homeless person we’ve had contact with before.” We were able to locate him there after visiting the nearby county park, where he occasionally hangs out. The LA Times stated that Davis was taken into custody soon after the event.
