Woman Throws Hot Bleach at Newark Officer, Burns Him: Officials

Mocobizscene- At approximately 3:30 p.m., according to Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé, the officer was called to a Hawkins Street residence close to Horatio Street in order to help DCP&P obtain entrance.

That’s when, according to Frage, a female suspect threw a hot substance onto the office that appeared to be bleach.

The woman, whose identity has not been made public, was detained and the officer was brought to St. Barnabas Medical Center for treatment of second-degree burns.
