President Biden will be delivering remarks on Monday to commemorate the 156th observance of Memorial Day at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
In addition, President Biden plans to take part in the traditional wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. As a sign of respect for the occasion, the White House flag is currently flying at half-staff. On social media platform X, Biden shared a graphic on Monday to pay tribute to the brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice.
“Our service members have willingly sacrificed their lives for a unique and unparalleled concept since the inception of America: the idea of the United States,” he expressed. “Even now, as these generations of heroes rest in eternal peace, we continue to thrive under the guiding light of the freedom they fiercely protected. May we forever be blessed by their courage and dedication.”
