In Texas, a mother captured a stunning video while on a safari ride, showing a giraffe grabbing her toddler out of a pickup truck and lifting her into the air. The incident was caught on camera, and the footage is truly breathtaking.
According to Lindsey Merriman, her family was at the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Glen Rose when they observed the event a few cars ahead.
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the father of the child disclosed that while feeding the giraffe, the 2-year-old’s shirt got entangled with the food, causing the giraffe to lift her from the truck bed accidentally.
KWTX was told by Jason Toten, the father of the child, “It scared me, my heart stopped and my stomach dropped.”
In the video, we can see the child being lifted up and then dropped into the waiting arms of an adult.
According to KWTX, Toten was feeding the giraffes when he turned around to look out the back window. He noticed that one of the giraffes was digging around and then suddenly grabbed his wife. Toten was shocked to see his wife disappear before his eyes.
