A man was hospitalized on Tuesday morning, January 9, 2023, after being shot and crashing into a business located just three blocks away from the White House. Luis Urbina of 7News captured the incident.
In Washington, an exciting development has occurred.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), a man has died following a shooting and vehicle crash incident that occurred early Tuesday morning, only three blocks away from the White House.
In the early hours of the morning, MPD officers were called to the scene of a shooting in the 1600 block of K Street NW. Meanwhile, a few steps away at the intersection of 17th and L Street NW, D.C. Fire and EMS crews were alerted to a car that had crashed into a building.
When the police arrived at the scene, they discovered that the vehicle was empty. However, the engine was still running, and the car had collided with Peet’s Coffee.
A man is currently in the hospital after he was shot and crashed into a nearby business, just three blocks away from the White House, early Tuesday morning, January 9, 2023.
Approximately 20 minutes later, the authorities confirmed that a man, who showed signs of being shot several times, entered Howard University Hospital. An officer present at the scene informed 7News that the individual who was shot was the same person who had been driving the vehicle.
