Two pedestrians, including a 5-year-old child, die in separate accidents in Gardena

Mocobizscene- On Sunday, two pedestrians, including a child, tragically lost their lives in two separate accidents in Gardena. One of the incidents is currently being investigated as a hit-and-run by the authorities.

At approximately 3:55 a.m., a pedestrian was hit by a car at the intersection of Vermont Avenue and El Segundo Boulevard, as reported by the Gardena Police Department. The incident occurred when a vehicle traveling southbound on Vermont collided with the pedestrian.

According to the police, another crash occurred around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Marine Avenue and Budlong Avenue, resulting in one fatality and one injury.

According to a statement from the Gardena police, a preliminary investigation has found that an unidentified driver was traveling eastbound on Marine Ave towards Budlong Ave. The driver then made a northward turn onto Budlong Ave, where they collided with both pedestrians who were in the crosswalk. After the collision, the driver fled the scene.

A tragic incident occurred, resulting in the loss of a young life. A 5-year-old child was pronounced dead at the scene, while another individual was quickly transported to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, no details regarding their gender or identities were made available.
