Two Indianapolis teens arrested for robberies

INDIANAPOLIS — Following a series of robberies, investigators with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detained two suspects, ages 16 and 18.

When police were called to a robbery on February 1 in the 4300 block of South Emerson Avenue, they were able to find the perpetrators’ car.

After searching the 18-year-old’s house, detectives found several pieces of evidence.

Police claimed the two adolescents were responsible for the following robberies as a result of this:

  • 2705 Bloyd Avenue (Shell Gas Station) December 22, 2023
  • 2801 Massachusetts Avenue (Valero Gas Station)December 28, 2023
  • 6279 W. 38th Street (GetGo BP Gas Station) January 13, 2024
  • 2705 Bloyd Avenue (Shell Gas Station)January 13, 2024
  • 2845 E. Michigan Street (La Campos 3) January 19, 2024
  • 1035 S. Keystone Avenue (Carnicera Mexican Grocery Store)-January 29, 2024
  • 4317 S. Emerson Avenue (Marathon Gas Station) February 1, 2024

A number of crimes, including felony armed robbery, led to the two’s arrest. The prosecutor’s office will make the ultimate determination about charges.
