Earlier this month, two men in Gwinnett were arrested for conducting illegal surveillance on an individual for over a week and subsequently robbing them.
Suwanee police conducted a traffic stop on June 1, where they found 43-year-old Robinsson Perez Chaparro from Norcross and 23-year-old Ronald Alexander Pulido from Duluth in the car.
After being confronted by the police, both individuals attempted to flee but were eventually apprehended.
Upon searching the vehicle, law enforcement officers stumbled upon a significant sum of money, an assortment of jewelry, and a passport registered to another individual. Further investigation by detectives revealed the presence of high-end handbags, tools, and a surveillance camera.
Upon arrival at the residence of the passport owner, Gwinnett police officers noticed a broken window located at the back of the house.
After conducting an investigation, it was revealed that the two men had been monitoring a nearby business owner’s activities since the 23rd of May.
They accused both individuals of committing first-degree burglary, unlawful surveillance, as well as loitering and prowling.
The Suwannee police department is accusing both suspects of multiple charges including obstruction, theft by taking, and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
Chaparro and Pulido were transported to Gwinnett County Jail for further processing.
