The Mississippi Sheriff’s Office has issued a warning to a man who is allegedly conducting fake traffic stops

Mocobizscene – The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office in Mississippi is urging the public to stay vigilant and be mindful of their surroundings. This warning comes after reports of a man impersonating a police officer and conducting unauthorized traffic stops. It is important for individuals to exercise caution and take necessary measures to ensure their safety.

According to deputies, there have been reports of individuals being stopped or approached by a man driving an unmarked white Chevrolet Impala. These reports, however, have not been confirmed yet.

According to reports, the Impala is said to have a blue light bar located inside the car, situated underneath the front windshield visors.

There have been reports of potential sightings of both the man and the vehicle in the Victoria and Mt. Pleasant areas along Highway 311.

The suspect is a slim man in his twenties, donning a skull cap and a black long-sleeve shirt with the word “Police” displayed across the chest. He has earrings in both ears and might be seen wearing a ballistic or bulletproof vest, according to deputies.

If drivers do not feel safe or are uncertain of the identity of the person stopping them, deputies advise them to call 911.

When you find yourself being pulled over by a police officer, it is important to take appropriate actions to ensure your safety. Firstly, immediately inform the operator that you are being stopped and provide them with your current location. To alert other drivers, activate your 4-way flashers. However, instead of stopping immediately, it is recommended to drive at a slow speed towards a well-lit or public area. This will help create a safer environment for both you and the officer.
