A group of teenagers in Connecticut brutally attacked another teenager inside a park. The incident occurred after the victim was caught on camera using a racial slur.
A video capturing the brutal attack on a white teenage girl by a group of Black teenage girls is now circulating widely, as authorities intensify their search for the attackers.
The incident took place in Byram Park, Greenwich, at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
The reason behind the initial altercation between the young women remains unclear. However, a Snapchat caption of a video suggests that there may have been a racially charged motive involved.
Upon receiving a report of a significantly large gathering in the park, the police arrived to find the victim sprawled on the ground.
During a momentary pause in the chaos, it remains uncertain how the altercation initially erupted. However, the victim, displaying a fearless spirit, rises to her feet and boldly challenges her assailant, uttering the words, “hit me again.” Unfortunately, her use of a racial slur incites another bout of aggression.
Two individuals have been arrested thus far, and Greenwich Police have acknowledged the video as they continue their search for additional suspects.
“We are currently examining the motives behind these actions, trying to understand why people would engage in such behavior. However, this is something that is yet to be determined,” stated Captain John Slusarz of the Greenwich Police Department.
The GPD is actively working to identify individuals who they believe are from Greenwich, Stamford, and Port Chester.
The junior at Greenwich High School who was the victim of the incident was taken to a nearby hospital and received medical attention for minor injuries.
