Taylor Swift and Magic Johnson made their debut on Forbes’ annual list of billionaires, joining 263 other newcomers. Among the new additions were the founder of Raising Cane’s, a popular fried-chicken destination, renowned shoe designer Christian Louboutin, and three founders of the controversial clothing retailer Shein. Swift and Johnson were officially recognized as billionaires a few months ago. Swift’s inclusion came after the massive success of her Eras tour, which earned her a staggering $190 million after taxes from the first leg alone, according to Forbes. Johnson, an NBA legend, also made his debut on the list in October, primarily due to his stake in the life insurance company, Equitrust. The world’s wealthiest individuals experienced significant growth in their net worth over the past year, with a collective increase of $2 trillion, reaching an all-time high of $14.2 trillion, as reported by Forbes. Notably, fourteen members of the list now possess a net worth exceeding $100 billion.
