Suspect apprehended for fatally stabbing a bystander during a road rage altercation in Morris Heights

An arrest has been made by the police in connection to the stabbing death of a bystander during a road rage dispute in Morris Heights.

Police have announced that 36-year-old Clement Boateng was taken into custody on Thursday for his alleged involvement in a murder case. The suspect has been charged with second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

The seemingly simple fender bender between two drivers took a violent turn and ended in bloodshed, leaving the situation far from easily resolved.

According to the police, one of the drivers involved in the accident stepped out of her car wielding a bat before contacting the suspect, who authorities suspect is her significant other.

As onlookers watched, the suspect – identified as a 36-year-old – arrived and proceeded to knock the phone out of the hand of one bystander who seemed to be recording the incident.

According to the authorities, Boateng forcefully pushed a bystander who turned out to be a close acquaintance of the victim, causing them to fall to the ground.

Upon arriving at Rainbow Day Care, Gomez-Mesa was found and later declared deceased at the hospital.
