Early Wednesday morning, on the Near South Side, an apartment building was the site of a shooting that left two women injured.
Police officers rushed to the 2900 block of South Dearborn following reports of a shooting just before 12:40 a.m.
Both of them were transported and were reported to be in fair condition.
Police reported that the exchange of gunfire between two individuals resulted in the women getting caught in the crossfire.
