Serious injuries sustained by two women from Jefferson City in a crash that occurred in Morgan County

According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, two women sustained serious injuries in an accident that occurred on Wednesday at the intersection of Route C and Highway 52 in Morgan County.

According to the report, Charla Bacon, a 62-year-old resident of Jefferson City, was driving a 2012 GMC Terrain in an eastbound direction. While making a left turn, the vehicle entered the path of a 2022 Nissan Altima, which was being driven by a 16-year-old boy from Barnett. As per the report, the Nissan collided with the GMC due to the turn made by the latter.

According to the report, the young individual had minor injuries but was wearing a seatbelt and was promptly taken to Lake Regional Hospital via ambulance.

According to the report, Bacon and her passenger, 80-year-old Betty Ponder from Jefferson City, both sustained serious injuries as they were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident. Ponder was airlifted to University Hospital, while Bacon was transported by ambulance to the same hospital.
