Route 46 Closed Due to SUV Flipping Over Median (Updated)

According to authorities, a concrete barrier on Route 46 was hit by a driver, causing their vehicle to flip over the median. Fortunately, the driver emerged from the accident unharmed.

According to Police Lt. John Behr, the 2021 Buick Encore met with an accident near southbound Route 17 in Hasbrouck Heights, shortly after 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 8 while heading west on the highway.

According to the lieutenant, the scene was surrounded by Hasbrouck Heights firefighters and both ALS and BLS units while the Moonachie police shut down the highway.

According to his statement, the driver from Hillside, NJ, who is 57 years old, emerged from between the airbags and declined any medical assistance.

The firefighters from the Borough acted swiftly to secure the subcompact SUV and applied a spill absorbent to prevent any further damage.

The vehicle was removed by Nick’s Towing.
