Research finds AR, MS, TN as states with high vulnerability to burglaries

A recent study has revealed that Arkansas ranks as the second most vulnerable state for home burglaries. Mississippi and Tennessee are also not far behind on the list of states at risk.

According to the Omega Law Group, New Mexico has the highest number of break-ins, while Mississippi and Tennessee rank ninth and eleventh respectively.

According to data gathered by a California-based personal injury law firm, the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) ‘Crime in the United States annual reports’ were used to analyze the total number of burglaries or breaking and entering crimes in each state from 2018 to 2022.

According to statistics, New Mexico had an average of 646 residential burglaries per 100,000 people, while Arkansas had 532 per 100,000, Mississippi had 375 per 100,000, and Tennessee had 361 per 100,000.

According to the latest crime statistics from the FBI, the average annual rate of burglaries in the United States in 2022 was 269.8 per 100,000 individuals, as reported by the Omega group.

Residents of Bethel Grove who fell victim to a recent home burglary were not caught off guard when they found out that Tennessee had made it to the top eleven states with the highest burglary rates.

“I don’t even want to watch the news anymore, crime has gotten so bad,” expressed an anonymous woman.

According to her statement, her sister’s house on Kimball Avenue was broken into by a group of at least three people while they were away, resulting in a loss of valuable items worth approximately $30,000.

“My niece’s shoes, underwear, laptops, jewelry, purses, and candles that my sister makes were all taken,” she shared.

The police have recently shared a video showing two burglars walking through her sister’s house just a few hours after they vacated the property. She strongly suspects that the robbers were keeping an eye on them, and the incident has left everyone feeling unnerved and insecure.

According to her, her mother had lived for thirty-five years without experiencing any burglary attempts.

Pennsylvania has the lowest number of burglaries among all the states, with only 80 per year per 100,000 residents.
