Students in Mobile, Alabama have the opportunity to receive a complimentary ticket to the Greater Gulf State Fair simply by reading 10 books and completing a form. This initiative aims to encourage students to cultivate a love for reading while also providing them with an enjoyable experience at the fair.
The Greater Gulf State Fair’s annual Read and Win Summer Reading Program has made it possible for free tickets to be available, as mentioned in a press release.
The reading program invites all elementary students who are starting school in the Gulf State region (Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi). Its purpose is to inspire and foster a love for reading among these students, as stated in the release.
Elementary students from the region are welcome to join the program, which will be held from May 23 to August 6. To participate, they need to read 10 books and send the Read to Win form to the office located at 1035 Cody Road N, Mobile, AL 36608.
According to the release, students who fill out the form will be given a complimentary child’s admission ticket to the 2024 Greater Gulf State Fair. The fair is set to take place from Friday, October 25, to Sunday, November 3.
Participants have the chance to win more than just a ticket. According to officials, they can also snag “the ultimate prize: the Ultimate Family Four Pack.” This includes four admission tickets and four unlimited ride wristbands.
