Police report: Two young girls injured by gunfire in Brooklyn park, now in stable condition in hospital

Authorities are currently conducting an investigation following the shooting of two young girls in a playground in Brooklyn.

According to authorities, a playground located at Thomas Boyland and Dean streets in Brownsville was the scene of a shooting that left two girls, aged 9 and 11, injured. The incident occurred shortly after 9 p.m.

They transported both individuals to Brookdale Hospital, and their conditions were reported as stable.

Based on a preliminary investigation, the police speculate that there might have been two shooters who fired a total of six rounds.

According to their beliefs, the shooting incident that took the lives of two young girls was not intentional. However, they have not eliminated the possibility of the incident being related to gang activities.

The investigation is still ongoing, and authorities have not yet made any arrests.
