Charging documents reveal that the victim boarded the train at Glenmont, bound for D.C. to attend a college class. She became aware of 23-year-old Mekhi Thomas boarding at Wheaton, and the two of them were the only ones in the car.
As per the court affidavit, he attempted to push her away, however, she was eventually pulled out of her seat, leading to both of them falling to the ground.
As per the police report, the accused made an attempt to climb on top of the victim and proceeded to remove her shirt. However, the victim resisted and pushed him away. The accused then went on to snatch her phone from her possession. According to the police, Thomas was captured by the cameras as he alighted from the train at the Silver Spring Station.
